Today, Thursday April 8th we drove East on I-90 to Biloxi, and saw the Casinos, and new homes that were rebuilt after Katrina. Bill said there used to be floating Casinos which was all that was allowed in Mississippi but now there where only
We were shocked by the properties that no longer existed due to Hurricane Katrina, you could see pieces of houses and their cement pads and the trees that had grown back were still bare on top; we can only imagine what it looked like when it came through in 2005.
Friday, April 9th we headed to New Orleans.
We have been living in our Born Free 26 ft Motorhome since January 26, 2010. First we stayed at KARS Park in Merritt Island across from Kennedy Space Center until February 1st,
then put the RV in storage to go to Annapolis to visit Bill's brother, George and family and see our FAVORITE Irish band, "Gaelic Storm". As usual they were awesome however, we were right in the middle of Snowmegedon! I had only seen snow a few times but never like this!

until the birth of our second grandchild, Soren James. Soren was premature and needed to be in NICU for 5 days. My daughter came home only to have to return to the hospital when Soren was 3 weeks old to have her gall bladder removed. We kept the RV at KARS park and Bill came back and forth to visit and help out. In the meantime I got strep throat and a really bad cold. On Saturday March 20th we got into Patrick Airforce Base where we are today. I also developed pneumonia and the flu however, I am beginning to feel better and we still plan on leaving Thursday April 1st, first stop Bogart Georgia to visit my daughter and her husband through the weekend. Check back next week to see where our first adventure takes us.......
